GL-MT3000 Can't connect to iPhone USB Tethering

iPhone 13 Pro

iOS 17.6.1

Firmware v4.6.4

The iPhone asks me to enter my passcode to trust the router.

The router sees the iPhone as eth2 (iOS)

But it never connects, it just sits there forever saying "Connecting..."

I found a solution here

Go into Luci, then Network -> Interfaces

It pops up a message about migrating interfaces, allow it.

Unplug the phone, plug it back in, trust the router again, and connect. It then starts working.

It seems there's some kind of bug in the configuration these routers ship with. This kind of feature should work out of the box without using Luci.
