Unable to update or refresh “Applications → plug-ins → “Refresh”, I get a " Failed to update repository list, please check your network and try again.” error message".
Same error, all the time, tried with and without AdGuardHome enabled, LAN-DNS Auto/Manual.
WAN Manual / DHCP.
Tailscale enabled and functional.
Reset firmware is not an option, because of Tailscale and remote admin.
Situation:
ISP - ISP Modem - (DHCP IP & DNS from ISP modem) GL-MT3000 - clients
Do you have an exit node confirmed to be up & running as expected elsewhere? Currently exit nodes aren’t support by GL devices themselves under GL GUI → Applications → Tailscale (Beta).
Apologies I can’t find the thread to link back to but it was confirmed by a GL rep this week.
I use tailscale on GL only as endpoint to login remotely, no exit node configures/enabled on GL tailscale client.
I do have some tailscale exit nodes configured elsewhere.
I did find the root cause regarding "Failed to update repository list, please check your network and try again.” with tailscale client enabled on GL.
In Tailscale admin I had configured a custom global nameserver, which was a privat DNS server on one of the exit nodes.
Disabling this option resolved the issue.
