GL-MT3000 Tethering issue with dual sim

I’ve noticed that if you have two eSIM turned on its impossible to tether, My MacBook Pro and Mac Studio can teather just fine with that config, but seems I have to disable the second sim, and toggle the personal hotspot on and off, and sometimes I need to reboot the phone to get it to connect successfully. Is this something others have seen? I’m on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Thanks,

You mean USB tethering?

When you have two eSIM enabled, what issue do you have for tethering?

The router can get IP but no Internet? or cannot get IP? Can you tether to a computer directly?

Does repeater works OK?

Yes USB tethering, Seems when you have two eSIMs enabled, it just won't work, you have to disable all but one, and reboot the phone, then it will work, You can't get an IP prior to the reboot, and sometimes you have to toggle the hotspot on and off in the phone. It works fine as I stated with my MacBook Pro and Mac Studio in the config with two eSIMs, I suspect its something that just isn't done often enough for someone else to have the same issue.

Confirmed again after the latest iOS update, if Dual SIM is ever active, you'll have to reboot the phone and make sure you set only one SIM at a time or tethering won't work. And if you swap SIMs you have to turn of personal hotspot, and wait 10 seconds and turn it back on or you won't connect either. These all seem like edge cases that could be fixed to just work in software. If there was an easy way to get a build environment setup, I could dig into this.
