GL-MT3000 update fails

At every available update my Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) fails to update properly through the web interface.
I have tried automatic, manual, through Luci nothing works the first time round.
Sometimes you have to try it 10 times before it works.
I am now on 4.6.9 and I wanted to update to 4.7.0 but the same issues arise again.
When will they even fix this issue?

A bit weird, please help to list this following info:

  1. the power supply of this router, with the adapter comes with the router or others?
  2. the Internet connection type, Ethernet or repeater?
  3. enable other features such as VPN, Adguardhome, etc. or not?
  4. use mobile phone or computer? And via wired cable or WiFi?

  1. I only use the included PSU.
  2. I normally have VPN enabled but it doesn't matter if it is enabled or disabled.
  3. Both wired and through WiFi.

The method that worked yesterday was:

  1. Update through the normal GUI failed
  2. Update manually through the GUI failed
  3. Update through Luci failed
  4. Update through Luci with the current firmware, don't know if something happened
  5. Go back to the normal GUI and tried again and it worked.

So it is really inconsistent how things work. I bought the unit in August and the first update worked fine. It's only when updating from 4.6.4 to 4.6.9 which caused issues and now from 4.6.9 to 4.7.0 was also a problem.

Sure, thanks for the detailed description.
It seems maybe something wrong with it but we still have not found the cause.
We will take some more time on the analysis and try to resolve.
Pls update if you have any other findings.
