GL-MT3000 Wifi Range is low

Hello everyone!
I have the GL.iNet GL-MT3000 which i really love the features it has. the only issue i am facing is the Wifi range, so whatever configuration i change it is still not reaching more than 10 meters and I can not connect from when I am in the sitting room (very close and only 1 wall in between)

as you can see in the image the signal is very low and am not sure how i can boost it…
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I have the same problem and ended up installing x-wrt, so I can set the power transmission to a much higher value:

https://downloads.x-wrt.com/rom/

But that’s messing up with the kernel… this is not something I’d like to do
Aren’t here any technical support team from GL-inet who can advise and help ?

Try 20mhz and allow it to use other signals like b, g, n etc. Check your local area for conflicting channels and use one that isn’t popular. If you use as a wifi repeater then repeat on either 2.4g and connect devices to 5g or vice versa to avoid halving the bandwidth.

Can you test with 5GHz wifi, instead of 2.4GHz wifi?

For 2.4GHz wifi, I always stick to N mode, 20MHz width and channel number 1, 6 or 11.

I do not work for and I do not have formal association with GL.iNet

The Signal: -256 dBM value is not relevant for Mode: Master. I looked on my GL-MT3000 router and it has the same value, but I have no problem connecting to its 2.4GHz wifi. It is more relevant to check the signal strength from your client device and, if you have an Android smartphone, then install the WiFi Analyzer app that shows signal strength.
