GL-MT3000 WireGuard Server - can connect but 0 speed

Hi,I 'm struggling with a WireGuard VPN issue where I get a successful connection but no data transfer.

Setup:

  • Server: GL-MT3000 router (behind my ISP's main router) is the WireGuard server.
  • Client: Mobile phone on cellular data, using the WireGuard app.

Issue: My phone connects to the WireGuard server on the GL-MT3000 without errors, but I have zero bandwidth and cannot access anything through the VPN.

Note: The GL-MT3000 works fine when accessed directly by a laptop on the same home network (ISP Router <-> GL-MT3000 <-> Laptop).

I've tried many solutions, including paid help, with no success.

:ok: I found out what it was - the server had "allow only VPN traffic" toggled, but it should not be toggled for the server (it is only needed for the client in my configuration)
