GL-MT300A: OpenWRT or LEDE?

Sorry, but I am very lagged behind the big progress in routers GL.iNet

Can you please tell me which software is better to use now in GL-MT300A: OpenWRT or LEDE?

First it was called OpenWRT, then the guys had a big fight, and the LEDE project was started as an alternative, then the guys agreed again and joined back into OpenWRT.

So since around 2018 it is again OpenWRT you should be using. All the GL firmwares are based on OpenWRT now, 18.x or 19.x

Johnex, I understand you  Thank you very much!

Tell me more, please.
What is the best firmware to use for GL-MT300A ?

There is an older one gl-mt300a-3.0-1011_clean.bin
and a newer one openwrt-gl-mt300a-clean-2.264.bin

Which of them works more reliably and has proven itself better?
Which of these firmwares have fewer problems and what are the advantages them?

The latest version is in this folder:

https://dl.gl-inet.com/firmware/mt300a/testing/

Dear, I don’t need the latest firmware
I need something completely different:

Which of them works more reliably and has proven itself better?
Which of these firmwares have fewer problems and what are the advantages them?

Dear, running old software with vulnerabilities that have been fixed in later firmware is worse than reliability. There are countless fixed bugs in the latest “testing” firmware that haven’t been pushed to release yet, including things like fixes for wifi.

Run the latest testing version, if you find any issues, report back here.
