[GL-MT300N-V2] Possible to use as a wired VPN-Router

I am slightly confused about the features of this device. I intend on using it the following way:

Ethernet Port from Wall (Internet Source) → GL-MT300N-V2 → Laptop

→ meaning an ethernet cable

Is this possible? I am confused because there is only 1 WAN and 1 LAN Port. I do not intend on using the WIFI Feature at all. I only want to set up a VPN through the GL-MT300N-V2 so that when I plug my ethernet cable into my laptop it always goes through the VPN first.

Sure, it will work just fine with your current connection method.

This is exactly how I use one of my Mango’s, except it’s not a laptop, but a Roku.

Which is the only reason I have the Mango in this configuration, to geo-locate the Roku to a different country.
