GL-MT300N-V2 Setting

Hello,

I have GL-MT300N-V2 Mini Smart Router,

And main router: tp-link deco m4.

I need the 300N just in my apple tv for OpenVPN.

The 300N connects just to the deco m4 with wan cable and to my apple tv from the LAN port with a cable. I turn off the wifi connection in the 300N.

I don’t change anything in the cable or LAN IP setting, but when the 300N turns on, the internet from the main router (tp-link deco m4) very damaged. Please advise me on how to install the 300N setting for just one device with cable (no need wifi).

The main router IP 192.168.68.1

The range IP 192.168.68.100-192.168.68.250

And the 300N got 192.168.68.116.

You’d better keep the wifi enabled. Because your tv is connected to the LAN port, you need to connect to its wifi to setup. Otherwise you have to disconnect you tv and set up.

What do you mean “internet from the main router very damaged”? Did you set up MT300N-V2 as bridge? Or use WAN as LAN?

One typical error is that you connect the LAN port to your main router and your network will be messed up because there are 2 dhcp servers.
