GL-MT300N-V2 tethering issue

So heres the thing. i have tried and tried and tried some more to do easytether and the router to actually see each other. followed every single little commend and yet i can get the router to see the tether. it will see normal tether but i need to really use the easy tether. Any help is appreciated.
