GL-MT300N-V2 - USB Modem APT manual settings

Dear guys, I just bought the little puppy Mango, actually are 2 days that I playing with some old USB modems that I have:

  • K3715
  • K3806-Z
  • K4505
  • K4606

Those are all old Vodafone stick that somehow I managed to unlock and make it working on Windows and on Mint with no problems.

All keys are working: K4606 create a fake eth connection with settings page over ip class 9 and the little mango recognize the key as tethering connection, K3715 and K4505 working as a modem on ttyUSB0, K3806-Z insted ask for ttyACM0 but all keys have problems to reconnect after power lost:
Every time I must login into the router stop the “automatic connection” procedure for manually set up with the right settings and connect. Seems like the router do not store the settings.
I even tried some uci network commit manually modifying some modem _1_1 settings but nothing.

any clue?

Many thx in advance

Nicolò

Please send me a copy of the network configuration before and after the reboot.

Thanks!

Dear Lizh,
Thank you so much, I tried to compered before and after:

  • mwan3 CFG
  • network CFG
  • system CFG
  • all the entire uci show text

No differences
I seen that you have to login in the interface, stop the auto connect, wait that auto connect is topped and then do manual config apply and done. I seen too that if you reboot through interface or ssh it will connect immediately after boot it but if you unplug the power supply won’t reconnect on boot.

attach link with all dumps 24.53 MB folder on MEGA
The video instead describes very well what’s the issue, before i started to record the little MT300 was on for 30 min trying to connect with no success.

If you hvae some suggest i’m here, thx again
Nicolò

P.S.
I forgot to tell you too that K4606 seems to don’t have this problem, perhaps bcz it gose by tethering, idk seems only modem_1_1 interface is effected.

According to this phenomenon, it may be a problem of matching the power supply and module startup.

  • Please send me a copy of logread in the route power off restart.

Thank you Lizh,
Can be this what we are looking for?

Hi Lagu:
The LOG you sent to me is OK. And indicates that it has been successfully established.

I need information about device exceptions, such as when the K3715/ K3806-Z/ K4505/ K4606 does not connect properly.

Thanks!

I know that was connected, that part of the log is when i diseble auto connect and i manualy connect. if i dont do it the stay with no connection, as i told you if i do manually it works but when i reboot the problem comes again

EDIT
I see now that partof the log
