GL-MT300N Very Slow

I have two GL-MT300Ns and both do the same thing. The out is 4 or more times slower than the input. I have two cell modems with wifi hooked to the two GL-MT300Ns and they do the same thing whether attached with a USB cable or as a wifi connection. I can connect to the modems themselves by wifi and get 15 to 20 Mbps. If I go through the GL-MT300Ns I get 1 to 4 Mbps and the signal starts-stops-starts-stops with a pause or two, too when I run a speed test with them.

I’ve reset them, I’ve updated the firmware and nothing has made a difference. Any ideas before I send them back to Amazon?

There should be some problem of the router or setup. MT300N cannot be that slow. Generally it reach 40 to 50 Mbps easily and a lot of people reach 80Mbps.

I wonder if the two MT300N connect to each other or just work separately. Did you enable vpn or something which slows the speed?
