My router won’t connect to my work guest wifi, and tells me in a popup to try turning on “authentication mode” and rebooting. But, it doesn’t explain how to turn on “authentication mode.”
I found how to enable mac cloning, and that didn’t help. I can’t find anything else.
How do I enable the authentication mode as suggested?
Thanks. I’ve tried the hotspot mode and camouflage, each separate and together. And, I’ve done the mac cloning. If the authentication mode has to do with captive portals, then that’s not what I need to connect. There’s no portal to go through, just ssid, password, and go.
I’ve also done the mac cloning. The camouflage mode seems like it really should work.
I’m stumped.
Do you mean that when other devices connect to the work guest Wi-Fi, they don’t require any special configuration and can access it just by entering the password?
If so, it may be an issue with how the device detects the captive portal.
If you ignore it, are other devices connected to the MT3600BE able to access the internet normally?
If the issue still persists, please:
- Provide some screenshots so we can better understand the problem
- Export the device logs and send them to us via private message so we can investigate further
