gl-mt6000 extender mode not passing IPv6 through

Hello,

I have a GL-MT6000 configured in extender mode, the goal being to make my local network transparently accessible through the GL-MT6000s LAN ports.

This works for IPv4: devices on a LAN port of the GL-MT6000 can query DHCP and get an address from my (own) DHCP server, can reach the Internet, and can reach and be reached from the LAN. I only had one issue: that the GL-MT6000 itself did get its IPv4 address through DHCP, but wasn’t accessible from my LAN; I fixed that by changing the relevant firewall rule (and disabling NAT on it too).

However, for IPv6 things do not work transparently. Namely, devices on LAN ports of the GL-MT6000 seem to not receive RA packets and therefore, do not perform SLAAC.

I could not find a solution in the gl.inet IPv6 or extender documentation, or in this forum.

Would anyone have an idea how to make extender mode entirely transparent for both IPv4 and IPv6?

Hi

Please try changing the Router mode to enable IPv6 and Passthrough mode.
Then, change back to Extender mode to see if the clients now have IPv6.
