GL-MT6000 (Flint 2) - IoT Device Connection Issues

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting certain IoT devices to connect to my GL-MT6000 (Flint 2) and hoping someone here has encountered similar issues or can point me in the right direction.

The Problem

Two specific devices refuse to connect to my WiFi:

  • Google Chromecast
  • Daikin air conditioner

What I've Already Tried

  • Testing both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks
  • Connecting on different channels and on Automatic
  • Wi-Fi Security: WPA2-PSK/WPA3-SAE
  • IoT connect with other router of other brands
  • Verified other devices work fine (smartphones and computers connect without issues)

Router Details

  • Model: GL-MT6000 (Flint 2)
  • Firmware: 4.7.7
  • Network Status: Phones and laptops connect perfectly, only IoT devices failing

Has anyone else run into this with the Flint 2?
Any suggestions for router settings to check or modify?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello,

  1. Do they support to connect to 5GHz WiFi?
  1. Are they available to connect to other brand router, is the WiFi connection normal?

  2. Try to set the 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs to different in Flint 2.

  3. Try to set the WiFi mode of 2.4GHz to 11b/g/n, CH1 or 11 in Flint 2.

  4. Please PM me the MAC address of 2 IoT devices, and try to connect to Flint 2 WiFi, export the issue syslog for this process and share with me in PM.
Let us try to find the reason in the syslog.
