GL-MT6000 (Flint 2) – TX Power Tests Across Different Regulatory Domains

Test environment: GL-MT6000 running GL.iNet OpenWrt 25 beta build (mt6000-op-4.9.1-op25_beta1-1032-0707-1783421695), mt76 driver, LuCI.

The values below were verified with:

Additional Observation

When TX Power = Driver Default, LuCI reports:

  • 2.4 GHz = 33 dBm

  • 5 GHz = 32 dBm (Channel 149)

and the GL.iNet interface still displays Wi-Fi Power = Max.

If I manually enter exactly the same TX power values (33/32 dBm), the GL.iNet interface changes from Max to High, even though the actual transmit power remains the same.

Current Configuration

  • Country: Panama

  • 2.4 GHz: Channel 6 (HE20)

  • 5 GHz: Channel 149 (HE80)

  • TX Power: Driver Default

These are simply measurements from my device using Linux wireless tools. Please use only settings that comply with your local regulations.
