GL-MT6000 - what is the web server for GL-iNet Web Admin page (192.168.8.1)

Device: GL-MT6000

What is the web server for GL-iNet Web Admin page (192.168.8.1)?

For normal OpenWRT, it is based on the mini web server "uttpd".
However, I couldn't find this webserver running in the background by "ps" command using 'SSH'.

Since the OpenWRT of this router can also be entered by "http://192.168.8.1/cgi-bin/luci", it also need a webserver running in background.

Can anyone tell me what is this webserver?

It is nginx.

Very simple, check your IP config and find gateway IP address - that's is your router address.

Thank you very much!
Furthermore, what can I do if I want to disable https:// visit by disabling port 443 for 'nginx'?
As a result, only http:// (port 80) can reach the GL-iNet admin setup.

Why would you like to do that?

I guess that you can just modify /etc/nginx/conf.d/gl.conf and remove the line with 443 port settings.

Don't want WAN to visit the GL-iNet admin page by https://(ddns name). Too dangerous!

Besides, want to reserve port 443 (https://) for lighttpd with my own webpage.

Thanks.
Will try.

If you don't enable https on WAN, it won't happen anyway.

Running another webserver is not recommend, hope you know what you are doing

May I know how to disable https on WAN?
Will it affect web browsing to outside world using https?

Is it possible to have some rules to allow WAN https for selected devices only?

It is disabled by default - that's why I don't really understand why you wan't to disable it „hard“ inside the config.

Only you viseble wan ip address with GL gui. If you go to check public port forward with wan IP address and won't viseble gl gui.

Inside LAN network viseble wan address with gui
Outside network such mobile Internet not viseble wan address with gui even not open port forward

Thanks.

A port forward 443 from WAN have been setup to this router before.
Removing this port forward can solve the problem.
