GPU AMD 7900 XTX. (comet out of warranty)
When connected to the gpu as secondary display it would freeze the PC in a minutes. Cursor freeze, total freeze, hard shutdown needed. tried different edid from control app list. When I would duplicate the main display and comet there were no issues.
I noticed the freezing issue when I tried the comet, then I combined the displays for few days and no issues. After a few days I thought to try again as independent displays, pc froze in a few minutes. Tried a few times like independent displays, switched different hdmi port and same issue. Last time it froze, after a few seconds on the main display instead of the frozen desktop I got a black screen. In this state I thought to switch to a different hdmi cable(that I used on monitors without issues) and when I connected the cable on both ends the comet died.(led turned off). Later when I connected the comet directly to the PC I got a power surge warning on windows. Tried the comet on different power adapter(ugreen nexode 100W) and power led on comet still off. When the comet died it was on another ugreen nexode(65W) that I kept using it.
Have the gpu for many months, used multiple displays and same display with multiple inputs without issues on the gpu, no freezes or equipment dying.
