Gl-sft1200 & l2tp

Hi. Where can i find out xl2tpd package and download it?
GL-SFT1200 in ... cgi-bin/luci/admin/network/network/wan - Protocol support is not installed
After pressing button "Install package xl2tpd" appears empty window.

So. Is it possible to configurate l2tp connection with internet provider by using some other way?
Or how can i install those packages to router?

Please try again, the xl2tpd can install in the SSH.

opkg update
opkg install xl2tpd

Hi. It doesn't work

But how can i install it on GL- SFT1200 ?

With latest firmware 4.3.21 Opal cannot update any package via SSH. It returns "Failed to establish connection".
And to do connection with internet is terrible difficult. I reached out only via Tethering connection using USB wire. Because WWAN port hasnt packages too and you cant to make connection to other wifi.
With firmware 4.3.18 packages have been downloaded and installed via SSH:

But after... still not possible to establish L2TP connection.
Even if you filled out necessary information here:

You don't have ability switched between protocols here:

GL GUI does not support the l2tp protocol.

Only support it by the third-party plugins and try configuring in the Luci. If you require the l2tp configuration, please move to Luci, and not touch the GL GUI.

Thank you, Bruce. But it doesn't work.
Can you explain please why l2tp connection obtain IP

But after filled out L2tp serve, username, password, IP address dismissing?

Which reason of that could be?

Incorrect Configuration or Authentication Failure?

You can read the syslog, to check the l2tp connecting issue.

No. All (configuration and authentication) same as on old ASUS RT-N12 which works perfectly.

Any idea why it doesn't works?

It seems that the server address has not been resolved, is it domain name?

try entering the IP in the L2TP Server.

No. It's not helped too (IP).

Sorry, since the GL firmware does not support the L2TP protocol, it has not been tested if it is available. So, we are only trying step by step.

This one syslog seems to be a problem with the interface name.
The system cannot pull up the interface 'l2tp-wan'. Probably try the original WAN port back to default.

Like:

  1. Reset the firmware.
  2. Install the l2tp protocol.
  3. Luci > Network > Interface > Add new interface, select the 'l2tp' protocol, enter your server info.

Hi. Unfortunately, it is not helped. I hope later with new firmware version Opal become useful.
