APN Settings:
Occasionally the cell signal drops out and I lose the 5g Internet connection. When I check the APN settings, I have noticed that these have changed and are incorrect. When I change the settings back to what they should be and reboot, I get the 5g cell connection back. How is this happening? Can anything be done to stop this from reoccurring? Can I lock in my cell provider?
Manage Profiles:
When the APN settings are correct, I have saved these settings in Manage Profiles. On checking this setting, I have noticed other saved networks, e.g. Telstar, Verizon. None of these are available in the UK and I have not saved these APN settings in the Manage Profiles. I delete them and they reappear. How is this happening? Can anything be done to stop this from reoccurring?
Out of the frying pan and into the fire!
The beta v4.7.1 firmware did not work, plus there was lots of additional functions that I would never use, so perhaps some of the default settings on the beta upgrade caused this issue. No idea, I am just a basic user.
No Internet despite showing the name of the network, 5g NSA and the cell tower data. The router would not connect and the green Internet light on the router box never illuminated.
When I checked the APN settings they were all wrong and the Manage Profiles tab had even more network names which does not make any sense because these profiles should only appear in this tab if submitted and saved by the user.
I reinstalled v4.4.13 and the 5g Internet connection is back and is stable, so I suppose that I should just be grateful that it generally works, albeit the initial reported problem is not resolved.
