A few days ago my X3000 was offline. When I looked at the LEDs it had only the power led and the very last cell signal led, nothing else. I unplugged for a minute but when I plugged it back in there were no lights at all, nothing. I replugged it again and then just the power led would come on. I waited for 20 minutes and still nothing. I tried replugging it several times over the next hour and finally it booted back up and worked for a few days. Today I found it offline again with just the power led and the last cell signal led again. Several reboot attempts have yielded nothing. No LEDs and it won't boot. The router is connected directly to a 12v source (steady 13.5v) and has been since I bought it with no issues. I have tried the original power supply that came with it and it is no different. Is this thing bricked? What now?
Oh and I forgot to add the firmware is the latest stable release from the download site. I already did the urgent boot update thing that was announced a few months back.
Update: once when I plugged it in the power led came on and then the 2.4 wifi led flashed twice, then nothing else happened besides the power light staying on. No boot.
Another update here. I have narrowed down the problem to am issue with the lan port. I have 2 devices connected via lan ports, (the wan is set to lan) and if anything is plugged into the lan port I get just the power led and the 2.4 wifi led blinks twice and then nothing. If I unplug the cable from the lan port then the router boots and works. It is not an issue with the cable or the device, it seems to be a problem no matter what is plugged into the lan port. The same devices and cables plugged into the wan port and the router boots fine. Once the router has booted I can reconnect to the lan port and it works fine unless I try to reboot the router.
Hi!
If your device is still under warranty, please email [email protected] with a link to this forum post, details of where you purchased the device and your order number, so that we can provide you with after-sales service.
To help our team better understand the situation, please record the following two videos and attached them if possible:
-
Connect another device to the LAN port, restart the router and demonstrate the LED activity for two to three minutes. Then, attempt to access the Admin Panel from that device.
-
Connect another device to the WAN port configured as LAN. Restart the router and demonstrate the LED activity for approximately two to three minutes. Then, attempt to access the Admin Panel from that device.
I am in touch with Annie in the service department and a warranty rma is supposed to be processed soon.
