GL-X3000 router: can it be used as modem with Mesh system connected?

Hello all,

I’m new to the forum and not very technical. I bought the GL-X300 because I needed both a router to be used on the move and a cell modem at home to be connected with my mesh system.

I tried searching the subject on the forum, but (maybe my fault) I couldn’t find anything that helped me in a clear way.

My question is: can I connect to the GL-X3000 a mesh system (like Tenda MW3 or MW6) to have the Wi-Fi signal across the whole home?

Sure, the X3000 provides the Internet to your Mesh system, and the WAN port of the main router of your Mesh system is in DHCP mode, and connects to X3000 LAN port.

Thank you very much Bruce. I started reading another forum post about GL-X3000 Bridge mode wan ip passthrough and with my limited understanding I went nuts about it. In the past I connected a TP-Link 4g router to the mesh boxes, and it was straightforward so, I felt asking to scrub away the confusion I got myself into.
