GL-XE3000 APN Profiles gone after latest firmware

Hi, we have a bunch of the XE3000, on the previous firmware it the ability to save and apply different APN profile presets. It seems the latest version removed that feature and you have to manually enter the APN name. We generally carry SIMs for all 3 carriers and switch between them to get the best speeds. One of the carriers never seems to be able to properly set the APN name automatically. We end up needing to manually override it to get the SIM to work. For our less technical users the old system of choosing the correct carrier from the dropdown worked well. But now that feature is gone and they have to manually enter APN info I’m getting a bunch of complaints about “bad SIMs”. Are you planning to bring that feature back? Or has it been moved and I’m overlooking it somehow?

Hi

In v4.8, we’ve optimized this feature.
Currently, if the APN field is left blank, the system will automatically try all available APNs and remember the one that works.
If the user manually specifies an APN, the system will use that setting instead.

We’ve received some suggestions from users regarding further improvements to this feature, and we’ll discuss them with the product team to see if there’s room for enhancement in future versions or bring that feature back.

For now, may continue using v4.7 if this feature is important one.
