GL-XE3000 Battery usage and LED display

Hi,

I just got my Puli AX GL-XE3000 — it's working pretty well so far.

Just a couple of quick questions:

  1. How does the internal battery behave while the router is plugged in?
  2. I plan to keep the router plugged into the wall most of the time and want the battery to act as a backup during power outages, like a UPS. Will this damage the battery if it's constantly connected to power and charging?
  3. How can I turn off the battery LED display? I’ve disabled the LED lights, and everything else is off, except for the battery indicator.

Thanks!

Hello,

  1. The battery will no longer be powered and will be powered directly from the power supply while it is plugged in.

  2. It can plug in the power supply all the time. It will not accelerate the attenuation to the battery. (Battery just normal attenuation)

  3. The battery indicator light cannot be turned off.

Why did I see the battery level drops a couple times already in two weeks of usage. I kept it plugged into a wall all the time. See battery level drops to 97% when plugged in

The battery has natural discharge, and occasionally the system will discharge / use a little battery, to detect whether the battery is available.

As long as it can recharge to 100%, don’t need to worry about this.
