Glinet X3000 gateway randomly went down

I noticed today that yesterday something happened and the x3000 Gateway IP went down. It was no longer handing out a public IP to my firewall.

I have the x3000 setup in passthrough mode.

I don't ahev exact logs for some reason on the UI from when the firewall detected it as down but I do have these errors.

I can post the entire log file if needed.

I'm running 0409release3

Did the module not get the ip?
Are there any more logs?

@ywp

Are there any more logs?

Yes here's the logs from openwrt and the logs from the Glinet x3000 UI

glinet_log_export.tar (169.4 KB)
openwrt_issue.tar (68.6 KB)

Incorrect log
The ui page should have a separate log page that can be exported
The second tar won't open

Besides, can I have a picture to describe the problem?

Both files open for me. I was able to open them as is and with changing extension to . txt as I couldn't upload .txt

The Glinet log export file is from the export button on the Glinet UI logs page.

I was not able to screenshot because I couldn't even access the UI while this was happening. It was down. It was not handing out a gateway address to my firewall and unreachable by the default address to reach the UI.

How did the x3000 light come on when the problem occurred
How often does it happen

The Internet and cellular lights were green and on when this was happening.

This is the first time I have been running this for a few weeks now.

Can a reboot restore normal?

I think this random issue is related to the Passthrough mode, I had enabled mine, and experience similar behavior

Can I enter the ui by setting static ip address?
Have a simple network topology diagram?
Let me see if I can replicate that
thank you

Yes a reboot fixed whatever was happening but since I couldn't access the UI or ssh I had to literally unplug it and plug it back in to fix it.

Here is a simple diagram. Glinet is serving a static interface address for the UI however to access the UI Glinet needs to advertise routes to the opnsense firewall which it didn't do during this issue. Not only was it not providing an IP to OPNsense but it also didn't advertise routes making it inaccessible.

Would you happen to have had any logs from that? Interesting it might be related to passthrough.

Computer set static ip can not access?

The static IP set on the Glinet interface for lan UI access is not accessible during this time because it's in passthrough mode and not advertising routes when this issue occurs. So my firewall can't route my requests to the Glinet UI when this happened.

Normally as it's doing right now it's advertising the lan address, and the wan IP it's handing to OPNsense and the gateway address.

Can you show me the current firewall rules?
Make a comparison

Which firewall? Glinet or opnsense?

Are you talking about routes on opnsense?

I never touched the firewall rules on Glinet.

On opnsense I have access to the interface address I set in Glinet.

The route is advertised via the gateway address. Essentially if there's no Gateway address provided to opnsense then I can't reach the Glinet UI.

Here are the routes where GATEWAY-IP is the gateway address. and 192.168.20.2 is the default address I configured for Glinet UI access on LAN

ipv4 Public-IP GATEWAY-IP
ipv4 Public-IP GATEWAY-IP
ipv4 192.168.20.2 GATEWAY-IP

These two logs in normal times

Is that a question? I never touched the timezone.

One is from Glinet UI and the other openwrt.

I mean get the current log
