I’m running a Comet RM1 at V1.5.1 (R1) - But I have also activated the underlaying PiKVM Interface to allow me to control a 4-way KVM switch.
Does anyone know if the V1.10 update preserves the underlaying PiKVM Interface? I don’t want to upgrade and loose the ability to control the KVM switch.
Note that 1.10 broke my hotkey enabled KVM switches, something about the USB profile changed and I lost keyboard access on my RM10. If your Comet is connected to a USB hub port it'll probably work just fine, but if it's connected to a keyboard/mouse port use caution with the upgrade (downgrading fixed it on one KVM switch, the other may have locked up the USB bus and I probably need to reboot the switch to recover after the downgrade).
Thanks for the info. Given your observations, I will likely NOT upgrade the Comet unit. For my workflow the current functionality covers everything I need. (If it ain’t broke don’t fix it).
For reference, this seems to be the crux of the issue (a downgrade fixed it, but make sure you've got physical access to the device if you do decide to experiment):
