GLT-M3000 cannot reconnect to Tailscale after being powered off

Hi really hoping someone can help

Let me start off by saying I am not very experienced with networking but I work in IT.

I got the Brume 2 and set it up as a VPN server as per the guide here, The Wired Nomad - Digital Nomad Accommodations.

I have the GLT-M3000 that I want to set up as a client and again I followed the steps in the guide above and it seemed to be working until I turned it off and back on to check what my IP address was showing as.

The problem I have run into is if I shut down the router and turn it back on it does not re-establish a connection to Tailscale. The first time it happened I had to kill Tailscale using the cli on the router and rerun it and bind it again etc I have turned it on and off again and again it cannot connect to tailscale. In Luci the tailscale0 network interface fails with the error message DEVICE_CLAIM_FAILED. The admin panel looks like this

I changed the firewall settings as directed in the guide I followed so I don't think they are the problem although I am not sure.

The router shows as connected on the Tailscale admin panel until I restart then it never connects again.

Can someone please help I am only going to make it worse without some guidance.

Hi,

I did a test locally, using MT3000 as a VPN client and Tailscale turned on at the same time. At this time, the virtual IP address obtained by MT3000 from Tailscale can be accessed normally.

Restart MT3000, wait for the router to automatically connect to VPN successfully, and then it will automatically connect to Tailscale. You can also use the virtual IP to access MT3000.

There are some attempts: You can turn off the firewall to test whether you can reconnect to Tailscale. Or maybe the VPN ISP network has restrictions.
