I am trying to set up remote access for an NVR that is connected to my GLX-3000, but can't seem to get the port forwarding correct.
I have included a screenshot showing what I believe is the IP address of the sim card I am using as well as the port forwarding rule I set up.
What am I doing wrong?

Port forwarding does not work while using cellular. That is by design of the cellular network - using CGNAT - not because of the router.
I am sorry.
The SIM IP 10.229.231.95 is using the CGNAT, not real public IP, the port forwarding and only available to access on the Internet when the router WAN is public IP.

I have used cradlepoint and peplink routers for this purpose in the past with no issues and was hoping to try something different.
Can anything be modified on the GLX-3000 to make it perform like the cradle point?
I am not familiar with cradle point, but if you build a VPN, and the server is public available, you could do a port forward to the VPN server which routes in the VPN to the GL-X3000.
Not what I would prefer, but depending on the needs maybe a solution.
Can try to check if your router modem has the real public IP
