I followed that link and don’t see anything about R01. Am I missing something? Where do I find the firmware file after following that link?
When I pasted this file into the manual upgrade section of the router's setup screen, it said that this was incompatible with this device. Should I just be dragging this .zip file into the upgrade area?
No, there are directions on how to update the firmware thru command line. The update works just perfect thru command line. I believe that GL-iNet has somehow disabled the ability to do updates thru GUI interface(firmware verification) because of an issue that is happing with the possibility of bricking these devices. It will get sorted out I'm certain but just update thru commandline if you really need to. Personally, I"ve seen no difference between R01 and R03 firmwares so I don't think it really matters as long as its a recient update. You're experience may be different.

Are you on the latest beta firmware (4.7.1 -Release Candidate-2024-12-27)?
If not, try it, I remember having issues flashing module firmware (same incompatibility message) with previous firmware version but for me worked like a charm with the latest one.

If you're not familuar with the process. I would back up your system, download the beta modem firmware and try to update the module firmware using the GUI interface. Then you can go back to the previous modem firmware and restore your backup. Seriously, the directions are on the forum here but if you've never done it before, it can be difficult to figure out how to download the newest module firmware to the router(SCP) because the newest versions are not made avalable to easily download(WGET) from GL-iNet's servers.
