GoodCloud Privacy Policy?

I’m sure this has been discussed before, but posting after the 4.10 firmware update - as this was the main feature deployment. The one-tap GoodCloud binding in the new UI is going to get a lot more people signing up who'd never have bothered before. However, I recommend strongly everyone read the privacy policy first, it explicitly covers GL.iNet's hardware, cloud, and apps together, and lists collecting IP addresses, device identifiers, and advertising identifiers "to offer you optimized advertising."

Their PP disclose sharing usage data with ad and analytics partners under CCPA's cross context behavioral advertising category. To be fair, GL.iNet states outright they don't sell or rent personal data, and I've have no evidence they're actually using router telemetry for ad targeting. But the privacy policy scope scares me.

In defense of GL-iNet, the GoodCloud portal itself is genuinely great. A lot of engineering went into it. It includes some invaluable tools: remote SSH, clients, network typology, logs… literally everything I need. I just wish the privacy policy was tighter given how much of your home network this now sees by default (which is everything). I unbound and deleted my good cloud account after reading the privacy policy, figured others clicking "bind" for the first time should know what they're agreeing and asses against their individual threat model.
