Hi,
Is there away I can assign the guest Wi-Fi (VLAN) onto a single LAN port on the flint 2 as well as being the guest Wi-Fi?
I have a few IoT's devices which isn’t Wi-Fi compatible and don’t want them on my home subnet
Thanks

I assume it can.
Luci -> Network -> Interface -> Devices:
br-lan, uncheck the lan port, like lan4.
br-guest, check the lan4.
Save and apply.
Hi
Unfortunately that’s not working I don’t see the guest interface on devices, I have removed the lan port 3 from be-lan and that’s it at the moment
I don't see the guest interface settings either.
It would be great if GL made such a function in the stock interface
p.s. guest Wi-Fi networks is on
Absolutely, That would be great, Also if they removed there own qos and replaced it with SQM that would be excellent as well, SQM is a game changer!
Strange... Which version are you using?
My screenshot was from 4.7.0-op24
4.7.0 OpenWrt 21
Please try the op24 firmware.
Unfortunately the op24 firmware the Wi-Fi strength isn’t good for me on the firmware
It's working fine for me.
Can you explain more? I mean, 2.4GHz or 5GHz? In which devices are you finding the issue (mobile phone? laptop?)
I’m using op24 4.6.6 after checking release candidate
I will give op24 4.7.0 another try and see, I struggle with the Wi-Fi strength on all devices with the op24 4.7.0 but will give it another try
My internet is 500Mbps (download) and 70Mbps (upload).
Result on my Laptop with Wi-Fi 6E AX210 (160MHz), Windows 11, Driver 23.100.0.4
Same as my internet plan, 500/70
However I use SQM so I get a A+ ok the bufferbloat test
The speed isn’t the trouble with the op24 4.7.0 beta it’s the signal strength it reduces massively compared to the op24 4.6.6, I’ve noticed txpower is disabled on the op24 4.7.0 beta?
Hi Bruce.
Is it possible to include this option to the stock GL interface?
I will collect this request.
But it is a bit customize not public, may not consider
Remember you deleted one lanx device from br-lan?, just edit guest network in luci -> network -> interfaces -> interfaces (tab)
and edit guest network, and then change the device to this lanx device.
the x represent the port number of the lan1,lan2,lan3,lan4,lan5 device.
If for wifi, you might consider using a bridge then please ignore the above of my message a little:
You want to navigate here:
luci -> network -> interfaces -> devices (tab)
Then scroll down and add or create a new device.
select bridge, and you want to call it br-guest
and select keep up empty bridge, then select the lanx device you removed from br-lan, and then click on the tab interfaces again, and then edit guest network and replace the device for br-guest
