Having Opal act as a 'bridge'

I now have the Slate 7 and the Opal.

I have devices connected to a switch in 'Building B', all with static IP addresses assigned, within the range 192.168.1.0/25

What I want to do, is to be able to use the Slate 7 in 'Building A' (with modem connected to it's WAN port), and have the Opal connect to the Slate 7 via the repeater method - this is working OK for now.

The problem I have, is I want the Slate 7 to be 192.168.1.1, and the Opal to be 192.168.1.2.
Then, devices can connect to the Slate 7 WiFi and get an IP address via it's DHCP - this is working fine as well at the moment.

Problem I ahve, is I cannot access any of the devices in 'Building B' which have a static IP address, if I am connected to the Slate 7.

If I connect to the Opal, I can access those devices.

What I want, is to just have the DHCP server on the Slate 7, and not on the opal, and have any devices which connect via the Opal wifi or the Slate wifi, to get an IP address from only the Slate 7 DHCP...
I almost want to be able to forward the DHCP from the Opal to the Slate.

I had this working earlier this week when I was using two Opals, but no I have replaced the equipment, I cannot get it to work.

Am I needing to bridge some interfaces on the two devices?

You've got routing conflicts somewhere. Technically you're looking for a 'wireless bridge' rather than a repeater. GL.iNet calls it 'extender network mode'. I'd reset the devices just to be safe beforehand which can be done if you flash the latest stable builds if you haven't already. Just don't 'save all settings.'
