I bought the Beryl AX to work remotely from another country, managed to set-it up using wi-fi repeater and eventually connected it to a NordVPN server in the UK.
However the IP location is not updating so it's still detected as the country I'm in, and not the UK IP address. I'm not very savvy with these things, can someone please let me know how to correct this with very clear instructions?
Thanks in advance.
Is the IP location not changing or the IP itself?
Show us a picture of https://ifconfig.co/ for example.
It's the IP itself. I just tried to connect to the beryl ax wifi on 2 separate devices and they are showing the same IP.
Did you select a proper VPN policy?
that was the issue then, thank you!! It's working now
Glad to hear. You're welcome
Hi! I'm encountering the same issue. Could you share what's the VPN policy that eventually worked for you? Thanks!
The default vpn policy is "global proxy" and should work.
Pls give details of your setup, with images.
@admon how do you know it is vpn policy which is not even mentioned anywhere?
Just a good guess … I guess?
I'm having a similar issue. I enabled Global and Block Non-VPN Traffic. I see the correct IP address my VPN service provider provided, but the server's location shows as in Dallas, TX, instead of Salt Lake City, UT, where it should be. Am I interpreting this wrong?
The IP databases are often out-to-date or even wrong.
If many people from Salt Lake City, UT will use Dallas, TX, they might even update the server to show UT instead. Double check for DNS leaks as well: DNS Leak Test - BrowserLeaks
Thanks! You were right. The test showed 2 locations 10 servers in SLC and 11 in Dallas. Can I fix that on my end?
Check your DNS settings, there might be some leak. But without seeing the results it's difficult.
