Help enabling DDNS on Brume

Hello. I'm wanting to set up my new Brume 2 as wireguard server. I have the Brume plugged into the LAN port on my home router. First step is enabling DDNS, however this is what I see:

After this I went to my home router (Speedport Smart 3) and did a TCP port forward for port 443 to the Brume as this is what the Glinet instructions said. However when I went back to the Brume and did a DDNS test I still received that error message. The Glinet instructions don't say anything else about how to resolve this.

Anyone able to help?

Do you know if your contract gives you a real public IPv4 address? Or is it DS-Lite or something like this?

actually I'm helping set this up for a friend remotely, and I'm not sure what kind of ip address she has on the router. However, even though I received this error, when I went to *****.dlddns.com I was able to access the Bume login page, so it seems like a success....

However will this remain a success if my ip address changes?

You shouldn't be able to get on the login page using the DDNS domain. At least not by default.
If you enabled "Remote access via WAN" you should disable that asap. It's not safe to make the HTTP interface reachable by WAN.

It depends on how you test. If you test from inside the LAN, it might be false-positive because the router will resolve its own DDNS address.

i enabled HTTPS and did a port forward on port 443 on the home router, but wasn't sure if it worked.

but when I went to https://*****.dlddns.com I got to the login page, so I thought that meant the DDNS was working

Yep, should work then.

But keep in mind to disable this function after testing.

for security purposes? however, how is one to access the Brume's UI when abroad and VPN is off?

Ideally you should use OpenVPN server or Wireguard server to remotely and securely access your network
