Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out because I'm having trouble setting up cellular connectivity on my new router, and I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot the issue. Here’s what I’ve done so far and the problem I’m experiencing:
I purchased a router (GL.iNet GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) 5G NR AX3000) and I'm having trouble setting up cellular connectivity on the device. I inserted my Boost Mobile SIM card and followed the APN and TTL settings that I found online, but I’m still unable to activate my SIM card. The device still says "SIM card not registered."
Can someone please help me with this? I'm not sure which other settings to try, and I'm stuck. It's quite frustrating. If anyone from the IT team or anyone experienced with this could provide some troubleshooting tips, it would be greatly appreciated. I also verified the IMEI just in case, but I'm still having the same issue with no activation and the SIM card not being registered.
Thanks in advance for any help!
An additional step I have taken is updating the GL.iNet software to the latest version. I have also updated the OpenWRT firmware on the router by following the instructions and using SSH to configure the software. Despite these updates, I am still experiencing the same issue with the router not being able to connect to cellular on MetroPCS by T-Mobile.
Additionally, when I click on Tower selection, this is what I get (screenshot attached). I'm not sure if this could help with anything, but I figured I would include it. Also, the service is active and working on a cell phone.
I locked onto the only tower I see, but I still don't get connected to it. There is 5G in my area, but I don't see that tower coming up.
