help with nas through wireguard vpn

Can someone please help me with what am I doing wrong trying to access my hd through vpn.

My setup:

internet - MT-6000 (server) connected directly to wan
- 5 TB portable HD connected to MT-6000
- wireguard server enabled
- nas enabled (enabled WebDav, Samba, DLNA)

         - MT-3000 (wireguard client)
         -
         - devices connect through MT-3000 to go out to WAN

The tunnel works fine, but I can't find a way of viewing HD through MT-3000 with or without a wireguard. Ideally I would like to use the VPN when travelling and having access to NAS.

Any help is greatly appreciated

WireGuard won't work with DLNA, so you need to manually mount your HD in whatever program you are trying to view the data.

In Windows, for example, you will need to open \\[Wireguard IP of your router]\[Whatever your share is called] to see any folders.

I should have maybe added more of how I tried to connect in the original request.

I'm mostly trying to see the hd through my iphone but did try windows by mapping it.

DLNA works when connecting directly to server router with wireguard turned on. Semba and WebDav function only when wireguard server is turned off.

When I connect through the client through wireguard I don't see HD in VLC player or WebDav app. That's what I meant that I'm not seeing the HD, Webdav has the
Server router ip:port\folder share

With windows I have the HD mapped and windows explorer can't access it when my laptop goes through the VPN client but has full access when laptop is connected to server router.

So I've tried mounting the HD in the programs on the iPhone but can't connect through a VPN. Why I'm not sure if there is a needed port forwarding or what I'm doing wrong.
