I just attached a external hdd to the router and i have seen a huge amount of ram is used. After i have go to Luci on processes and have found the process in the image i have uploaded using 123% ram. Is this normal or just a visual bug?
This process should have a relationship with Encrypted DNS, GL GUI > NETWORK > DNS > Encrypted DNS or DNS Proxy is enabled, it has nothing to do with USB HDD.
High memory usage can be ignored because it is a DNS process.
As you use it more time, the router will record more and more DNS resolutions locally, which will take up memory, but it improves DNS resolution efficiency, make the next access faster.
After system restarting, DNS resolution will be cleaned up and the process will not be so large.
However, the router system will optimize and compress these memory footprints, which will not affect the router's work.
