How to change TTS in Mango router

I recently got a mango router, firmware shows “up to date”. I am trying to change my firewall settings to use a TTS if 65, but despite setting some posts about changing custom iptables, I can’t figure out how to access that section.

Can anyone help with a step by step? Sorry if this is a newbie question, I tried hard to search for a solution but didn’t get anywhere.

Hi,

  1. Login the SSH of the router. How to use SSH?
  2. Please read this thread:
    Change outgoing TTL - #2 by swordfish-ii
    Enter the command in the SSH.

Thanks, got that to work after modifying the TTL and restarting the firewall, but noticed that I lose the Mangle tables after router restart. Is there something I need to do to make those changes permanent?

Apologies, confirmed that this is persistent across reboots, and even persistent across device “10 second” resets. Thanks!

No way! 10-seconds reset reset everything.

Yeah, don't know what to say, but after 10-second reset pings were still showing the new TTL.
