How to check connection quality and speed in repeater mode

I'm using a GL-AR750S in repeater mode, my neighbour allows me to use his wifi connection in my vacation home since I'm rarely there.

It all works great and I lvoe the GL.inet Android app but I am wondering why I can't find anywhere to check the connection quality.

The system tab only show CPU and RAM - is there maybe a plugin or Luci package I can isntall to have a quick overview of how good / stable my wifi connection is?

In luci you can see the dBm per wireless network, that will tell you how good (or bad) the connection is:

Signal Strength TL;DR Required for
-30 dBm Amazing Max achievable signal strength. The client can only be a few feet from the AP to achieve this. Not typical or desirable in the real world. N/A
-67 dBm Very Good Minimum signal strength for applications that require very reliable, timely delivery of data packets. VoIP/VoWi-Fi, streaming video
-70 dBm Okay Minimum signal strength for reliable packet delivery. Email, web
-80 dBm Not Good Minimum signal strength for basic connectivity. Packet delivery may be unreliable. N/A
-90 dBm Unusable Approaching or drowning in the noise floor. Any functionality is highly unlikely. N/A

Sorry, I should have actually looked at luci before asking. You are right, there is information there.

Could you help me make sense of what I see?

luci => system => status I see

Does this mean my travel router is using 5GHz for its uplink although the 2.4GHz is way faster?

Under Luci => network => wireless I see:

As far as I understand these screenshots the 5 GHz network is used for connecting to your upstream router, yep.

But bitrate of 6 Mbit/s should be some wrong display, not even sure if such low bandwidths are possible using 5 GHz. Maybe it will adjust if there is some traffic.

The second one (96.2 Mbit/s) shows the connection between you and your router.

Thanks for confirming. I guess I'll watch it for a while and if necessary switch from AUTO to 2.4GHz to connect to the upstream router and see if its better.
