You seem to have been changing all sorts of different settings, maybe including things that affected your WiFi or DNS.

If I were you, I would reset to default settings and then just make a few necessary changes and leave the rest as defaults which are fine for many settings (GL-iNet routers are quite secure by default), and make the changes one at a time so you can see if any specific one breaks something for you.

Obviously create a good password for the admin GUI panel (I think this is necessary on first login after purcahse or after reset)
Upload your VPN config file and activate VPN client, and choose to block all non-VPN traffic in the global VPN settings.
Create strong passwords for the WiFi, and change the SSID netowrk name too if you want.
WPA3 is indeed most secure but not all devices support it.
Connect devices to the guest network for all devices that don't need access to the admin panel or other specific access.

I would not mess with DNS. If you are activating a VPN client with a good provider, everything securely goes through their DNS, and trying to change it on the rouger might cause problems.

For interface management, you can change 8.8.8.8 to 1.1.1.1 or 9.9.9.9, or if you don't need WAN interface management and don't want any connection to any other DNS, you can disable each one in the multi-WAN interface management settings.

Thanks for the response, but why didn't I have any issues until recently? No dropped connection before I swapped the USB charger.

I don't know. See if changing back to the previous charger fixes the problem. If not, you either need to go through the different settings to see what caused the problem, but many times it's easier to reset and start fresh if you don't have a very complicated setup.

Hello, I don't know if it's happening with the 2.4ghz band since I have that disabled. I'm only using the 5ghz band.

I am using repeater mode. You're telling me that when my phone goes to sleep, it's normal that the WiFi connection is dropped? If so, why didn't it happen before? How do I disable DFS and select a more stable channel?

The SSID does have 5G appended to the router name. I think that's the default option.

you can use a lower channel, by selecting the channel you see on the dropdown the dfs ones.

As for the sudden disconnect I'm not sure why this is, it could be a power issue, it could be some signal tricked the DFS into seeing a radar detection.

Without logs we cannot help exactly what is going on.

You can download these logs from the system tab and then logs, best is when it happens to post it.

Nope, but it is possible your phone has a energy saving setting disconnecting it.

I don't know about WiFi channels and it's one of the settings I wouldn't change from default unless you know what you are doing.

It seems a issue with ipv6, and a issue with permissions.

I don't know how well it is supported with the dns settings in the gl ui, but ipv6 cannot interconnect with ipv4 addresses.

You may want to disable ipv6 or remove ipv6 in adguardhome.

As for wifi, if it really disconnected the AP aswell it might be a issue of your phone not getting a dhcp lease, on most phones it disconnect automatically, maybe the dhcp server crashes see my reasoning below about the permission error.

As for the permission error, maybe try to only use one list it looks to me it may has to do with space issues, if that happens it locks up, more likely to readonly and dhcp can also start failing.

How do I disable IPV6 in Adguard Home? I don't see any such option?

I noticed something in Adhuard Home that has my concern. I changed to Cloudflare with your instructions, but while trying to troubleshooting this issue, I noticed under Encryption settings, enable plain DNS is checked. When I try to check to enable encryption, I get an error message: port 443 isn't available. What's going on?

From what it looks it is this, also make sure in the gl ui ipv6 is off in the network tab.

I had to look into this option myself, this seem to be when you want to host DoH from client to the adguard portal, plain dns is fine here, over wan you will use DoH, it's in use because gl ui uses port 443.

Right now, I have a problem where the 5ghz SSID disappears for like 5-10 seconds when trying to connect after my phone turns on. I'm reading that it's because of DFS. It's annoying having to wait each time I change the WiFi network or turn on my phone and wait. To avoid DFS, I was told to select channel 36 on 5ghz. It seems to help, but I still don't understand why my phone disconnects from the WiFi network after the phone is asleep for a while. I want my phone to be connected to the 5ghz network all the time. I tried the 2.4ghz network with channel 1 selected. It's slightly better, but the phone still disconnects after a period of inactivity. I'll have to wait a few seconds before the SSID appears for me to reconnect. The Beryl's blue LED is flashing in this situation. What's going on as I can't figure out the problem and it's been like this for a few months. Very frustrating!

This could be a issue on your phone especially the energy/power saving options.
if it is the router which i doubt due this quote, you could try entering the advanced settings, then click on the tab network and then wireless, edit the wifi where this happens to while you are at it, click on the advanced tab or in more recent lucis just set the country if you did not already, if you did not then wait before continuing the below instructions first test if it fixes it, then the below instructions are not needed further which is more of a last solution.

Then scroll down of the page where you find more tabs such as wireless security etcetera.

click on one of these tabs and check if Disassociate On Low Acknowledgement has been unchecked.

Then restart the router because alot of QSDK, MTK SDK don't directly apply settings from luci only after a restart.

I have three phones. Two Google Pixels and 1 iPhone. All 3 seem to drop the connection to the Beryl from time to time. It doesn't happen with my ISP-supplied router/modem. I noticed that after the connection is dropped and I'm trying to reconnect, the Beryl's blue LED is flashing. Why?

I'll try to set the country then and report my findings.

After changing the setting, how do I initiate a restart of the Beryl?

This sounds to me that the beryl does not have internet, or is having a reboot due to crashing.

Please post the log when that happen, because it is unusual, maybe adguardhome is taking up too much resources where the dhcp server crash?

Alot of android phones will disconnect from wifi if there is no dhcp, they will kick themselves.

Under system -> reboot, you can also just reinsert the cable that work fine too.

I will try to get you the log the next time I remember to do so. I tried reducing the number of lists in Adblock to just one, which is HaGeZi. The same problem still happens. Maybe you're right about DHCP. How do I address this? It's so annoying that my phone's connection can be dropped. As a result, I miss out on messages and calls until I wake up the phone and wait to reconnect to the network.

You can wired connect a laptop to the router, to determine if there is any issue with the WAN:
ping [router gateway] (such as 192.168.8.1)
