How to connect to captive portals with glinet slate router

I’m trying to access wifi that has a captive portal on my glinet router. I can connect to the internet fine when I connect my computer directly to the wifi. However, when I connect my router to the wifi I can’t get the captive portal to display on my computer which is connected to the router and thus can’t connect to the internet. I’ve tried the first two solutions provided here: Connect to a Hotspot with Captive Portal - GL.iNet Docs i.e. copying my mac address on my already authenticated device to the router and changing the dns settings but neither worked.

Does the repeater connect at all?

Or it connects but the portal does not pop up.

If it connects and your have the correct mac clone, it should pop up.

Same problem. The router is connected to the hotel’s network but I can’t get the captive WiFi portal to pop-up. I”ve tried the Mac address clone method and It doesn’t work either.

Does toggling the DNS Rebinding Attack Protection setting have any effect?
