I have adguard setup so my DNS page looks like this

so i click on Edit Hosts button

however “skittles” doesnt work

Since AdGuard Home is active, this will mostly not work.

Use the embedded rules in AdGuard Home > Filter > DNS rewrite
http://[router-ip]:3000/#dns_rewrites

Btw. you should enable “Override DNS Settings for All Clients” - it’s good for security reasons.

i guess it needs a domain
just skittles doesnt work but skittles.local does
so thats good enough
