With the right client (eg linux) you can just ask for a QR code. This displays the password to anyone.
I want to turn this off, but I don't know how.
Is it possible, how can it be done ?
There shouldn't be any QR broadcasting - can you provide a screenshot?
If the client got the credentials and the user got the permissions, there is nothing to stop the client generating a WiFi Password QR code.
The information comes from the local data, not from the router. The only way to prevent this is not to store the WiFi credentials to the local computer.
In fact this feature is used mostly by mobile phones, but could be generated by the zxing library, which proposed the format first, at any computer as well.
