The cpu limits its use and can’t carry it
You could install adguard on mini server. Fir example Pi4 or pi5
I use AdGuard home on it. Looks to work fine.
Can you advise other filtering software?
You could add filters in adguard dns server - AdGuard DNS — ad-blocking DNS server
And insert address in your AdGuard Home upstream
