I have modified the TX power using uci commands; however, these changes are not reflecting on the client side (IoT devices).
I am attempting to conduct a Wi-Fi stabilization test with my IoT devices, aiming to both reduce and increase the Wi-Fi strength.
Could you guys please assist me here?
You can’t modify it behind the hardware limits.
What device do you use and what TX power output are you trying to reach?
GL.iNet AX3000 WiFi 6 Router
I am attempting to conduct a Wi-Fi stabilization test with my IoT devices, aiming to both reduce and increase the Wi-Fi strength.
Everything should be inside the /etc/config/wireless
Yes, By using uci commands, I have modified here, its changing in that file, but signal strength has no effect.
Did you restart the interface?
Do you use other software like luci or the GL.iNet GUI - or do you run plain OpenWrt?
And as I said you can’t modify behind the limits of the driver / hw.
I have used luci and i have restarted.
Where to find out the limits range?
To be clear, I want to increase and decrease RSSI dbm values.
In our web :Wireless ---->5G/2G hz wifi -->TX power you can change the TX from MAX —>LOW.
But we can’t change the RSSI of the Router. If possible you can change the TX of your IOT devices
Tx power will affect RSSI value of router but it is not happening here.
