I got a Flint 2 with 4.6.3op24 firmware and my access to internet is provided by my ISP via PPPoE and all the traffic is through my VPN client
I would like to override DNS provided by ISP.
Is it possible to override ISP DNS on WAN interface on LuCI without compromising security?
In Case it is ok modifiying DNS with LuCI
Please, could you tell me if i must to fill up the option "DNS search domains" ?
for instance if i use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, should i write something on "DNS search domains"

i have already checked the link but i'm not stil sure hou to override the ISP DNS
i would like to set up PPPOE with cloudflare dns and
once pppoe stablished, i would like to use the default dns provided by my vpn provider

PPPoE does not need DNS itself.
So in that case you can just set your DNS in the DNS tab of the router or inside the VPN config.
Do you mean like this? I have pppoe to my ISP but i use 1.1.1.1 etc and not the ISP dns servers... even for the internet pppoe connection
Just use the link above (DNS) to set your desired DNS server. It won't change the DNS server shown in PPPoE because this is just for information which DNS your provider pushes to you.
