You could write the new name with a sharpie on a piece of opaque adhesive tape and then stick it on the router.
Name suggestions on my part would be:
Sealy, Flippy or Router McRoutingface 
If you want to know how to change the hostname, you can do it using luci.
“Hostname” is the option to change here.
Using SSH should be possible as well:

I’m guessing the OP is wanting to change the SSID. However my first thought after reading the OP’s post was on track with yours.
