I need UPS for Flint 2

I plan to buy MARSRIVA KP1Ultra.
16000 mAh 30W DC 2x5V/9V/2x12V2.5A
Will the ego be enough to power the Flint 2 without a USB drive?

The Flint 2 specs state :

Power Consumption <20W

And my gut says without anything attached to the USB you’ll be under 10 watts so yes, the KP1 Ultra and easily power this. For how long??, I’ll let someone else do that math.

I would like to hear the opinion of the developers, because it is not without reason that the kit includes a 4A power supply. This router has short-term consumption spikes that can cause a short-term voltage drop.

I am always curious as to why anyone would want to keep the router running during a power cut when everything else within the network is likely to be dead. I would be interested to hear the usercase for this as I might consider somthing similar myself.

I was using a small 120v UPS that was overloading on new Flint 2.

There is a war in my country since 2022. We have constant power outages. In our country, there is an energy-independent internet that works during blackouts.

I am sorry about the situation in your country and sincerely hope that things would settle for you soon. So will you be using the router (and internet) to connect your battery-operated mobile to the net for example?

I also have a laptop, a tablet, many powerbanks, and Ecoflow Delta 2 to support the work of lighting in the house and to support the work of the refrigerator.
But to power the router I need a separate device whose task will be to power only the router. Therefore I am looking for the most powerful possible uninterruptible power supply for the router

Hello,

Since you mentioned there is a Ecoflow 2 to power a refrigerator, I think you could use the attached stock power supply to power the Flint2.

Sure, if still needs to directly power to Flint2 with the UPS, I think DC 12V/2.5A is enough to power to Flint2 without USB driver, as long as the UPS DC output can reach 12V/2.5A, and the power cable can meet the stable transmission of this power.

Flint 3 use 7-8WH - 14h+
Flint 2 using 3-4WH - 20-30h+

Останнього разу 14 годин світла не було - весь час протримався УПС. Доречі, до нього підʼєднано ще і оптичний модем від провайдера. Змінив Flint 2 на Flint 3 і заміри робив саме на ньому, але памʼятаю яке споживання писав УПС раніше. Вдвічі більше має бути це точно.
І ще, використовував раніше інший УПС: DC UPS Trinix TRX-MUPS-1812
декілька разів роутер Flint 2 (може, і Flint 3 - не можу перевірити вже упса цього немає) робить підвищене споживання і УПС падав у захист і доводилось УПС перезавантажувати. З цим такого не було жодного разу.
