I replaced 4 GL-RM10 with one GL-RM4PE but things didn't go as expected

PROS:

  • Less devices
  • Less clutter
  • Rack mounting

CONS:

  • Only one active connection. I used to have all 4 connections opened in different tabs, now I have to switch ports which takes a while and have to wait until the device wakes up, see next.
  • Despite enabling mouse jiggler, it only affects the active port. All the other ports locked themselves or go to sleep

This is neither good or bad. It depends on your needs, but for me, it’s very important to have all the other devices opened so I can quickly glance what’s going on. Having to switch ports is not ideal for my purpose but would be good for others.

I wish the GL-RM4PE could have all the connections active so when I switch ports it would instantly show the screen and avoid the device to lock or go to sleep.

Is this something that could/would be implemented in the future?

Appreciate the heads up. I was looking at this as a replacement but not being able to have all systems open at once is a bit annoying. Hopefully that is a feature that can be added later

Hi, thanks for the feedback! Due to hardware limitations, this feature isn't supported.

Processing four video streams simultaneously would be extremely costly.

However, if it's just mouse jitter, the goal should be achievable by using the software's timed switching function.
