IMEI | BBSSID and WAN MAC random | MAC log wipe - fixed or updated on 4.3.26?

Have a mudi v2 750 60k router

attempting to load sr labs blue merle, though only compatable with 4.3.8 - through all my processes ive seen upon rebooting the router the imei was changing on its on, with prompt confirmation on terminal required, confirming it.

Does this mean GL-inet has address the key security risk vulnerabilities presented by SR LABS that leave users of the mudi v2 at risk for exposure?

“The blue merle software package addresses the traceability of the Mudi router by adding the following features reducing the tracking risks b, c and d:”

  1. IMEI changer
Seems this has been fixed? or does it only happen when you do a factory reset?

  2. BSSID and WAN MAC address randomization

  3. MAC address log wiper

Main question is to anyone knowledgable on this topic, is it worth downgrading to 4.3.8 to run the blue merle or is the 4.3.26 “actually” secure to use?

advise, thoughts, and perspectives are appreciated.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your love and attention to GLiNet products.

Let us talk to depend on the GL firmware itself without third-party plugins:

  1. IMEI not changes automatically
  2. Support BSSID andWAN MAC randomization
  3. I assume it does not support.

There is no doubt that recommended to install the latest firmware.

You can consult the author of the plugin to whether it is suitable for the v4.3.26 firmware. Of course, you can try installing it in v4.3.26 first, and then consult the author if you have any questions.
